Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate cardiac telemetry care to patients recovering from heart attacks, lung transplants, and esophageal procedures
Monitor cardiac rhythms using Philips equipment and interpret EKGs to catch changes early
Administer non-titrating drips and manage CPAP and high-flow oxygen therapies
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7
Float to other telemetry units when needed to support the broader hospital community
Maintain sterile technique during Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience preferred
Strong EKG interpretation skills
Cerner EMR experience
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with up to two attempts

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac step-down and post-transplant patient care
Philips telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
Cerner electronic medical records
Sterile field maintenance for catheter and line procedures
Team collaboration with charge nurses and patient care technicians
