Location: Garrison, North Dakota

Start Date: 06-29-2026

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend and every other major holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Serve as charge nurse overseeing daily operations on your unit
Administer medications safely and accurately to residents
Provide compassionate wound care and monitor healing progress
Build meaningful relationships with residents managing heart disease, diabetes, and dementia
Collaborate with the DON and interdisciplinary team to ensure excellent care
Respond to on-call physician needs and coordinate care by phone after hours

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact license
BLS certification required
Prior long-term care experience preferred
Strong assessment and medication administration skills
Ability to work independently as charge nurse

Knowledge & Skills

Long-term care nursing experience
Medication administration and wound care
Comfortable working with residents who have heart disease, diabetes, and dementia
Familiarity with Matrix EMR system a plus
Excellent communication and leadership as charge nurse
