Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care on the Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit
• Perform focused patient assessments and initiate timely interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor telemetry, recognize rhythm changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans
• Document care thoroughly and provide clear handoffs during shift changes

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Preferred: 1+ year experience in medical-surgical or telemetry care
• Strong clinical judgment, patient advocacy, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently on night shifts and adapt to changing patient needs

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• BSN preferred but all qualified nursing program graduates are encouraged to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• IV medication administration and safe medication practices
• Thorough patient assessment and critical thinking
• EHR documentation and accurate charting
• Infection control practices and patient safety protocols
• Clear communication with patients, families, and the care team
