Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $73 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients, including monitoring, support, and delivery
Manage postpartum recovery and newborn care, including intermediate nursery needs
Titrate medications such as Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and insulin drips as ordered
Serve as charge nurse and collaborate with house supervisor and on-call OB/neonatologists
Float to other units as needed, offering helping hands and expertise
Maintain accurate fetal monitoring and respond to emergencies with confidence

Qualifications

Active Oregon RN license or ability to obtain 90-day emergency license
BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent L&D, postpartum, and nursery experience
Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team
Strong skills in intermediate nursery and maternal-fetal care

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EFM systems (GE Centricity Perinatal)
Experience with titratable drips including Pitocin, Mag sulfate, and insulin
Knowledge of bubble CPAP and vent stabilization for transport
Ability to read maternal cardiac telemetry with support from ICU staff
Flexible and able to adapt to changing unit demands
