Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every other weekend, rotating holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert care for laboring patients with 1:1 ratios during active labor
Monitor and titrate critical drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia
Deliver comprehensive postpartum and antepartum nursing care
Support patients through GYN post-surgical recovery journeys
Educate and empower new mothers with breastfeeding guidance and support
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license with minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience
Current BLS and NRP certifications required
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for obstetric patients
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
Valid driver's license for radius verification at time of submittal

Knowledge & Skills

Labor and delivery expertise with high-risk pregnancy management
Postpartum and antepartum care proficiency
GYN post-surgical nursing knowledge
Drip titration experience with Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia
Patient education and breastfeeding support skills
AWHONN guideline adherence for safe nurse-to-patient ratios
