Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 7:00 PM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, one-on-one care to laboring mothers through every stage of delivery
Monitor fetal well-being using advanced Obix technology and respond quickly to changes
Assist with C-sections by scrubbing, circulating, and supporting recovery with skill and calm
Educate and support new parents during the critical postpartum period, ensuring safe couplet care
Collaborate with a dedicated team including charge nurses and respiratory therapists to deliver exceptional outcomes

Qualifications

Active California RN license
BLS, NRP, ACLS, and Advanced AWHONN certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
Proven ability to scrub, circulate, and recover C-sections
Cerner EMR experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong fetal monitoring interpretation with Obix system
Comfort managing high-risk deliveries down to 23 weeks
Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced L&D environment
Ability to float to postpartum when needed and support couplet care
