Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult ICU patients including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and respiratory distress cases
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications while closely monitoring patient response
Interpret and document telemetry strips using GE monitors with tele tech oversight
Collaborate with nurse aides and healthcare support techs to maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2-3
Float to PCU or MedSurg units as needed while delivering the same quality care and ratios
Respond within 30 minutes when called back from on-call status

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent ICU experience preferred
Strong telemetry interpretation and drip titration skills
Valid driver's license for radius verification at submittal

Knowledge & Skills

ICU nursing with trauma, cardiac, sepsis, and post-procedure patients
Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Titration of cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips
Ventilator, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula management
Floating comfortably between ICU, PCU, and MedSurg units
