Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Every Other Weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced ER environment
Assess, triage, and prioritize patient needs quickly and accurately
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment
Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
Maintain a calm and organized approach during critical situations

Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state
Current BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 1 year of ER experience preferred
Strong critical thinking and communication skills
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency nursing procedures and protocols
Patient assessment and triage
Advanced cardiac life support and pediatric life support
Wound care and trauma management
EMR documentation
Team collaboration and adaptability
