Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 4-hour shifts (specific start/end times and days to be confirmed by facility) - RN - BHS

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to patients in a behavioral health setting
Assess patient needs, observe behaviors, and communicate changes to the care team
Implement care plans and therapeutic interventions consistent with facility protocols
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic patient care
Document patient interactions and clinical findings accurately and promptly
Support a safe environment through de-escalation techniques and adherence to safety procedures

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (state licensure required)
Experience or training in Behavioral Health (BHS) or related settings
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
Professionalism, empathy, and commitment to patient-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of behavioral health principles and common interventions
Ability to perform mental status assessments and monitor behavioral changes
Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic health records
Skills in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning
Strong observational skills and attention to detail
