Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee the radiology program and ensure studies are properly submitted and reported — lead with quality and accountability
• Provide PACS training and support to staff to keep imaging workflows efficient and accurate
• Ensure radiology equipment is maintained, inspected, and quoted appropriately for purchases or service
• Create, maintain, and enforce radiology policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements
• Manage the radiation protection monitoring program and perform lead apron testing to keep staff safe
• Lead QA/QC activities to uphold high standards of imaging quality and compliance (including MQSA requirements)
• Work with clinic administrators, medical directors, and Finance to optimize revenue capture and maintain the chargemaster
• Supervise, train, and evaluate radiology staff to ensure competency and a strong, collaborative team environment
• Prepare required reports, assist with transcription issues, and document medical information in an organized manner
• Step in to perform radiologic exams as qualified and as needed to support clinic operations

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
• Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT) — required
• Registered Mammographer — preferred
• Registered Ultrasound Technologist — preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — required
• Minimum: 5 years' experience in Radiology Management and supervision
• Minimum: 5 years' experience as a Radiology Technologist
• PACS training required; CT and MRI technologist experience preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations related to radiology services

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology

• PACS operation and support
• MQSA requirements and mammography compliance
• Quality assurance and quality control processes (QA/QC)
• Radiation safety and protection monitoring
• Radiology equipment maintenance and inspection
• Chargemaster management and revenue capture strategies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work across multiple computer systems and document accurately
• Supervisory skills, team building, and performance evaluation
• Familiarity with digitized imaging workflows
