Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Friday-Saturday, 3:30 PM - 7:30 AM

Hours per Week: 16

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform and assist with radiologic examinations for patients of all ages
Prepare and position patients confidently while explaining procedures to ease concerns
Operate diagnostic and fluoroscopic equipment to produce high-quality images
Administer contrast media safely and monitor patients for reactions
Transport patients and portable equipment throughout the facility
Maintain radiation safety standards for patients, staff, and yourself
Process images through PACS and ensure accurate documentation in RIS
Teach and mentor student technologists in proper exam techniques
Respond to emergencies and provide CPR when needed

Qualifications

ARRT(R) certification required
BLS/BCLS certification required
Graduate of an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology program or registry-eligible
Minimum 2 years experience in a radiology department preferred
Ability to work with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients

Education

Graduate of an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology program
High School diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

Radiologic examinations and image processing
Equipment operation including portable X-ray and C-arm
Fluoroscopy and sterile tray setup
PACS and RIS systems
Patient care and positioning techniques
Radiation protection practices
