Roles & Responsibilities

• Read and interpret diagnostic imaging across modalities including CT, MRI, PET, ultrasound, and X-ray
• Perform and interpret diagnostic mammograms and conduct breast biopsies and wire localizations
• Provide timely reads for ED and inpatient studies and escalate or defer studies outside your comfort level
• Document findings and workflows in Cerner EMR accurately and efficiently
• Work closely with radiology techs, ultrasound techs, and support staff to deliver excellent patient care
• Collaborate with the teleradiology group when needed to ensure coverage and quality

Qualifications

• Diagnostic radiology experience with mammography and breast biopsy privileges
• Proven ability to perform breast biopsies and manage screening and diagnostic mammography volumes
• Comfortable reading PET studies; experience with CT, MRI, ultrasound, and X-ray is valued
• Experience using Cerner EMR for documentation and workflow
• Willingness and ability to complete hospital and foundation credentialing (90-120 days)
• Available for Monday-Friday daytime coverage two weeks per month; no call required

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic Radiology and Mammography expertise
• Breast biopsy technique and wire localization experience
• Multimodality imaging interpretation (CT, MRI, PET, US, X-ray)
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR systems and radiology workflows
• Ability to triage ED/inpatient studies and coordinate with teleradiology partners
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with clinical teams and support staff
