Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM; on-call every other week Monday-Friday 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM and Saturday-Sunday 7:00 AM - 10:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality nuclear medicine diagnostic imaging studies in line with established protocols
  • Obtain patient histories, explain procedures, and reassure patients for a comfortable experience
  • Operate, maintain, and run quality checks on nuclear scanning equipment to ensure accurate results
  • Prepare and measure radiopharmaceuticals, and administer them as prescribed for diagnostic imaging
  • Follow stringent radiation safety practices to minimize exposure for patients, staff, and yourself
  • Document all procedures and maintain patient records in both paper and electronic systems
  • Support other areas of radiology as needed, contributing to a collaborative team environment

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of nuclear medicine
  • Registered in Nuclear Medicine with ARRT or NMTCB
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under general supervision
  • Commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards

Education

  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of nuclear medicine

  • Nuclear medicine imaging techniques
  • Radiation safety and quality assurance
  • Patient assessment and interaction
  • Equipment operation and maintenance
  • Documentation and record-keeping
  • Understanding of radioactive isotopes and dosages
