Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including baths, showers, oral hygiene, dressing, and grooming
• Assist patients with toileting, bladder and bowel training, and personal hygiene needs
• Measure and accurately record vital signs, intake/output, height, and weight
• Collect stool, urine, and sputum specimens for analysis
• Safely position, lift, and transfer patients using proper equipment and techniques
• Prepare patients for meals, verify diet trays, and assist with feeding as needed
• Document patient observations and report any sudden changes to the nursing team
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment while following infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Hawaii
• Current BLS/BCLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of CNA experience
• Ability to work evening or night shifts
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of personal hygiene and bodily care procedures
• Vital signs monitoring and documentation
• Patient transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Infection control policies and procedures
• Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Ability to follow care plans and report observations
