Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal care to keep patients smiling
• Capture dental X-rays and impressions while ensuring patient comfort
• Document patient histories and treatment plans with accuracy
• Educate patients on effective oral hygiene routines and preventive care
• Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain sterile instruments
• Create a warm, welcoming environment that puts patients at ease

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygiene license in Virginia in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduate from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for oral health

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental instruments, sterilization, and radiography
• Experience with dental charting software and patient records
• Ability to explain treatments clearly and answer patient questions
• Knowledge of infection control standards and OSHA guidelines
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
