Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in both the Medical-Surgical and Emergency Department
• Float between units as patient needs and staffing require
• Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and monitor vital signs
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient information accurately using EPIC
• Respond to emergency situations and perform life-saving interventions as needed
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Hawaii (or ability to obtain before start)
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, with Med-Surg and/or ED background
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Strong EPIC documentation experience
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Critical Access Hospital experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of Med-Surg and Emergency nursing practices
• Proficiency in EPIC EHR system
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced critical access hospital environment
