Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis to maintain patient oral health
• Take and develop dental x-rays with precision and care
• Assist dentists during a variety of procedures, ensuring smooth workflow
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care techniques
• Document patient care and update dental records accurately
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments to uphold the highest safety standards

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Strong clinical skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent communication and patient-centered care skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative dental team

Knowledge & Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of dental hygiene techniques and best practices
• Proficiency with dental software and electronic health records
• Understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient education
• Ability to manage multiple patients efficiently and calmly
