Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic dental hygiene care, including scaling, root planing, and polishing
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive dentistry
• Take and interpret dental x-rays, ensuring proper diagnostic accuracy
• Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile environment
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in electronic health records
• Work collaboratively with the dental team to deliver compassionate, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work the 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM shift

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental radiography (X-rays)
• Knowledge of infection control and OSHA standards
• Experience with dental practice management software
• Understanding of oral anatomy and periodontal disease
• Strong patient education and counseling skills
