Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and scaling to keep patients' smiles healthy
• Assess patients' oral health and document any concerns for the dentist
• Take and develop dental x-rays with precision and care
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Assist the dentist during procedures and ensure a smooth patient experience
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and follow all infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• New graduates are encouraged to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and best practices
• Proficiency with digital x-rays and dental practice management software
• Understanding of OSHA and infection control standards
• Ability to build rapport with patients and make them feel at ease
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
