Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough dental cleanings and preventive oral care to patients
• Assess patients' oral health and document any concerns for the dentist
• Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and nutrition for a healthy smile
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
• Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing instruments and materials
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments following infection control standards
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure every visit is comfortable and stress-free

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Previous experience in dental hygiene is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques
• Skill in patient education and oral health promotion
• Proficiency with dental software and record keeping
• Attention to detail and commitment to infection control
