Shift Type: Variable - Day and Night shifts possible - 12 Hour shifts (36 hours weekly) following the first week of orientation; scheduled 12 hours call at least once/month. No guarantee of hours or shift preference.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, compassionate care to laboring mothers and their families
• Assist with deliveries and support immediate newborn care
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using advanced fetal monitoring systems
• Deliver postpartum care, helping new moms recover and bond with their babies
• Accurately document assessments and procedures in Meditech and Point Click EMR
• Collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure positive birth experiences
• Participate in on-call coverage to support the unit around the clock

Qualifications

• Current Hawaii RN license or ability to obtain prior to start
• Minimum 2-3 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• STABLE and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications strongly preferred
• Comfort working variable 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in fetal monitoring and interpreting tracings
• Proficient with Meditech and Point Click EMR systems
• Solid understanding of newborn care and postpartum care
• Experience with GE/Centricity fetal monitoring systems
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced labor and delivery unit
