Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform accurate laboratory analyses on blood and body fluids to aid in diagnosis and treatment
• Prepare and process specimens with precision, ensuring proper identification and logging
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshooting any issues that arise
• Review and release test results, repeating any that fall outside quality control standards
• Assist with training and support of technical personnel
• Participate in proficiency testing and quality assurance activities
• Uphold safety, infection control and confidentiality protocols

Qualifications

• Certified as MT or MLS with ASCP, AMT, NCCLS or equivalent certification
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• No previous experience required
• Blood Bank and Microbiology experience preferred
• Must hold an active PA state license or be able to obtain one before starting
• Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience is preferred by the facility
