Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department
Location: Lancaster, OH
Start Date: 08-24-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week (days vary based on facility needs)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and deliver exceptional patient care using the nursing process
- Administer medications and treatments with precision and compassion
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families, empowering them from admission through discharge
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate critical changes promptly
- Champion patient safety and quality care in a fast-paced emergency department
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license or active compact license
- 2+ years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current ACLS, BLS/BCLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and nursing process expertise
- Medication administration and documentation proficiency
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Independent decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Effective multitasking and prioritization under pressure
