Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate dental hygiene care to patients of all ages
• Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Take and develop dental X-rays while ensuring safety protocols
• Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment plans
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia or eligibility to obtain one
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in dental hygiene is preferred, but we welcome new grads with strong clinical training
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-first approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing procedures
• Familiarity with dental radiography and safety protocols
• Proficiency in dental charting and electronic health records
• Strong sterile technique and infection control practices
• Ability to educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
