Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor vital signs and document patient conditions with attention to detail
• Assist with daily living activities while promoting patient dignity and independence
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to implement and update care plans
• Educate patients and families on health management, medications, and aftercare
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico or a compact state
• Current BLS certification
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination or an approved medical or religious exemption
• Ability to pass a background check and provide state or federal identification
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Local candidates only - this is a local contract assignment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of nursing care standards, safety protocols, and infection control
• Medication administration, dosage calculation, and IV therapy basics
• Electronic health records (EHR) charting and documentation
• Strong interpersonal skills to connect with patients, families, and teammates
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts effectively
• Basic life support and emergency response capabilities
