Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with occupational therapists to implement individualized treatment plans that help patients regain independence
• Guide patients through therapeutic activities and exercises, adapting techniques to their unique abilities
• Document patient progress and adjust interventions to ensure the best outcomes
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs to promote continued recovery
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic, compassionate care

Qualifications

• Certificate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Active COTA certification with the NBCOT
• California state licensure or eligibility to obtain one
• Valid CPR/BLS certification
• Prior experience in rehabilitation or skilled nursing is a plus, but new graduates are encouraged to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to document treatments accurately in EMR systems
• Compassion and patience when working with diverse patient populations
• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on quality care
