Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients on a Med Surg/Tele/PCU unit
• Administer IV drips including insulin, esmolol, and sodium drips with precision
• Monitor telemetry and assess patient conditions, responding quickly to changes
• Take charge nurse responsibilities, leading the team and coordinating care
• Float seamlessly to any inpatient unit within your scope of practice as needed
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current and active Vermont RN license or compact license - must be uploaded with profile
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care med-surg and telemetry experience required
• Charge nurse experience is required - please note on your profile
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience is strongly required
• IV drip administration experience required (insulin, esmolol, and sodium drips)
• Minimum 3 months of previous travel experience required - non-negotiable
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Willingness to float to any inpatient unit within scope of practice
• Must have your own vehicle for this assignment
• Ability to provide all requested documentation (skills checklists, references, work history)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid med-surg and telemetry nursing skills
• Experience with PCU level of care and adaptive acuity units
• Proficiency in IV drip medication administration
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Charge nurse leadership and team coordination skills
• Comfortable working in small critical access facilities
• Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs quickly
