Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill PCU/ICU patients
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding quickly to changes in status
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient progress accurately using the Cerner electronic health record
• Educate patients and their families on care plans, treatments, and recovery expectations
• Maintain a safe, healing environment and uphold infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active California RN license or compact license, ready to submit
• Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU/ICU nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience with Cerner charting system
• Comfortable floating to other units as needed
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in PCU and ICU nursing procedures and protocols
• Familiarity with cardiac monitoring, ventilator management, and critical care interventions
• Computer proficiency with electronic health records, especially Cerner
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety standards
• Effective teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
