Roles & Responsibilities

Welcome patients and create a calm, professional experience from check-in to check-out
Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical measurements accurately
Prepare exam rooms and assist clinicians during patient exams and procedures
Document patient encounters and update electronic health records in a timely manner
Coordinate patient flow, schedule follow-ups, and assist with referrals
Maintain infection control, safety standards, and HIPAA-compliant practices
Support team communication to ensure high-quality, compassionate patient care

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred
CPR/BLS certification required or must obtain upon hire
Preferred: 1+ year clinical experience in an ambulatory or pediatric setting
Strong communication skills and comfort with patient-facing duties
Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required

Education

High school diploma or GED; Medical Assistant certificate preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with taking vitals, performing basic clinical tasks, and specimen collection
Experience with electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) documentation
Familiarity with HIPAA and patient privacy best practices
Skilled at patient communication, appointment coordination, and triage basics
Basic phlebotomy and instrument/room preparation skills
Good time management and ability to work in a fast-paced clinic environment
