Roles & Responsibilities

Greet patients and create a welcoming, calm environment for care
Measure and record vital signs accurately and efficiently
Assist clinical staff with exams and procedures as directed
Maintain organized patient records and document care in the EHR
Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies and equipment are ready
Communicate clearly with patients and families about next steps
Support infection control and safety practices to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
High school diploma or GED required; completion of MA program preferred
BLS/CPR certification recommended or willing to obtain
Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner
Ability to follow clinical protocols and maintain patient confidentiality
Comfortable using electronic health records and basic clinical equipment

Education

High school diploma or GED required
Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment basics (vitals, basic history-taking)
Familiarity with EHR/charting and documentation best practices
Infection control, safety protocols, and HIPAA awareness
Clinical support skills: room prep, patient positioning, basic procedures
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinic
