Roles & Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and check them in for their appointments
Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and reason for visit
Prepare exam rooms and ensure all necessary supplies are available
Assist providers during exams and minor procedures in the ambulatory setting
Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record
Coordinate patient flow and communicate clearly with clinical and front desk staff
Participate in orientation and training to learn site-specific processes

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred
CPR/BLS certification required or must obtain upon hire
Comfortable working in an ambulatory clinic environment and standing for the shift duration
Strong communication and customer service skills; patient-centered approach
Basic EHR experience preferred; willingness to learn site-specific systems

Education

High school diploma or GED required
Medical Assistant certificate/diploma preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Vital signs measurement and documentation
Phlebotomy and basic clinical procedures (preferred)
Familiarity with electronic health records and charting
Infection control and universal precautions
Scheduling, patient check-in/out processes, and front-office coordination
HIPAA and patient privacy awareness
