Location: Rancho Mirage, CA

Candidate Pay Rate: $68 - $47.6 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist to help residents regain independence
Provide therapy focused on activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and functional tasks
Guide residents through therapeutic exercises and functional activities with empathy and skill
Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist
Maintain accurate and timely therapy documentation to support continuity of care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to create cohesive, person-centered plans
Educate residents on safe techniques and adaptive strategies to improve daily functioning

Qualifications

Active California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license (required)
Associate Degree from an accredited COTA program (required)
Previous SNF, rehabilitation, or geriatric therapy experience (preferred)
Strong patient care, communication, and documentation abilities
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Education

Associate Degree from an accredited COTA program

Knowledge & Skills

Experience supporting ADL training and functional rehabilitation
Strong observation and patient monitoring skills
Effective communication and documentation skills
Hands-on competency in guiding therapeutic exercises and mobility training
Collaborative approach to interdisciplinary care
