Location: Madera, CA

Candidate Pay Rate: $68 - $47.6 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist to help residents regain independence
Provide focused therapy on activities of daily living, mobility, and functional tasks
Guide residents through therapeutic exercises and meaningful functional activities
Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist
Maintain accurate and timely therapy documentation to support quality care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to create cohesive recovery plans
Educate residents on safe techniques and adaptive strategies for daily living

Qualifications

Active California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
Associate Degree from an accredited COTA program
Previous SNF, rehabilitation, or geriatric therapy experience preferred
Strong patient care and communication skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Education

Associate Degree from an accredited COTA program

Knowledge & Skills

ADL training and functional rehabilitation techniques
Patient monitoring and strong observation skills
Effective communication and therapy documentation abilities
Ability to collaborate with nursing and rehab teams for coordinated care
Hands-on experience supporting mobility and independence goals
