Location: Smethport, PA

Start Date: 04-05-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shift, specific start/end times and days to be confirmed (8 hours total per shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $30 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes in patient condition
Support safe patient transfers and mobility assistance with proper technique
Document care activities clearly and timely in the patient record
Communicate with nurses and the care team to help coordinate excellent resident care
Create a respectful, comfortable environment that preserves dignity and promotes wellbeing

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (Pennsylvania certification preferred)
Comfortable providing hands-on resident care and assisting with ADLs
Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
Reliable attendance and the ability to work an 8-hour shift
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

High School Diploma or GED
Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Patient care fundamentals and safe transfer techniques
Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
Accurate, timely charting and communication with clinical staff
Understanding of infection control and standard precautions
Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
