Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and support to residents, helping with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, mobility and transfers while maintaining dignity and safety
• Monitor, record and report patient observations and vital signs accurately and promptly
• Support care team by documenting care in charts and communicating changes to nursing staff
• Help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
• Participate in infection control practices and follow facility policies and procedures
• Engage residents with respectful conversation and meaningful interaction to promote well-being

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Ability to pass facility background checks and required health screenings
• Comfortable assisting with personal care and working directly with patients
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a per diem schedule as needed
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Familiarity with proper body mechanics and safe transfer techniques
• Basic documentation and charting skills
• Good observational skills to notice and report changes in condition
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Understanding of infection control and standard precautions
