Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living
Help with safe transfers, mobility support, and fall prevention efforts
Monitor and document resident condition and report changes promptly to nursing staff
Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and feeding as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Follow infection control practices and facility policies to protect residents and staff
Communicate warmly and clearly with residents, families, and the care team

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Connecticut (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfortable working in a long-term care/skilled nursing environment
Ability to pass background check and health screening (immunizations, TB testing as required)
Dependable, compassionate, and patient-centered with good communication skills
Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care and bedside manners
Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe resident transfer techniques
Accurate and timely documentation of care provided
Understanding of infection prevention and resident safety practices
Teamwork and clear communication with nurses and interdisciplinary staff
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
