Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assist with activities of daily living
Take and record vital signs, observing and reporting changes promptly to the nursing team
Support patient mobility and transfers safely, using proper body mechanics and equipment
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and visitors
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
Document care accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Active/valid CNA authorization for Georgia or ability to obtain state authorization
Previous hands-on patient care experience preferred
Strong communication skills and a caring bedside manner
Ability to follow care plans, safety protocols, and maintain patient confidentiality
Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Patient care fundamentals and assistance with ADLs
Vital sign measurement and documentation
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Infection control and standard precautions
Basic charting and electronic medical record familiarity
Team collaboration and effective communication in a clinical setting
