Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and provide exceptional nursing care to medical-surgical and orthopedic patients
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses with precision and compassion
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and execute individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, joint precautions, and recovery
• Manage traction and assist with spine, hip, and joint surgeries
• Document patient progress accurately in Meditech EMR

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kansas (or compact license)
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital experience in Med/Surg/Ortho
• BLS certification (AHA) is required
• ACLS certification is preferred
• Experience with traction, spine, hip, and joint precautions is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of medical-surgical and orthopedic nursing practices
• Familiarity with traction equipment and post-operative care for total joints and spine
• Proficient in Meditech EMR
• Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Excellent patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Compassionate and personable approach to patient care
