Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care to mothers and newborns
• Monitor fetal heart rates and manage inductions using Pitocin and Cervidil
• Assist with C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, and vacuum or forceps assisted deliveries
• Respond quickly and confidently to OB emergencies like shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage
• Perform thorough newborn assessments and provide couplet care with a 1:3 ratio
• Collaborate with a seasoned, close-knit team in a well-supported LDRP unit

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee or a compact state
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Fetal monitoring certification or training required
• Comfortable with 1:1 active labor care and 1:3 couplet care ratios
• Experience with shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and OB emergencies preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in fetal monitoring and CPN central monitoring
• Experienced with Meditech documentation
• Skilled in induction methods including Pitocin and Cervidil
• Knowledgeable about intra-uterine monitoring and assisted deliveries
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Able to float within the facility as needed
