Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-acuity nursing care to a mixed ICU patient population, including PCU and med-surg holds
• Manage ventilator-dependent patients and perform telemetry interpretation to detect changes in patient status
• Administer CRRT and monitor advanced hemodynamics for critically ill patients
• Provide post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients including fresh CABG, Impella, balloon pumps, and Swan-Ganz catheters
• Assist with neuro procedures for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, including EVDs and induced hypothermia management
• Perform phlebotomy and administer respiratory treatments such as inhalers and nebulizers when needed
• Ensure safe patient handoffs through bedside shift report and collaborate with the care team
• Float to the emergency department or PCU to care for ICU holds as needed, supporting hospital patient flow

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered RN license (compact or state-specific as applicable)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• At least 36 months of RN experience, including a minimum of one year in an ICU setting
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred, especially in facilities using Meditech
• Comfortable caring for 1-3 ICU patients and managing patients on ventilators
• Proficiency in reading telemetry strips and managing advanced hemodynamics
• BSN preferred; advanced certifications such as TNCC preferred
• Willingness to train in neuro and cardiovascular ICU care for interested travelers

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
