Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert respiratory care to critically ill neonates in our NICU, ensuring optimal oxygenation and ventilation
• Manage and operate mechanical ventilators, including Hamilton G5 and C1, for patients of all sizes
• Administer breathing treatments and perform thorough ventilator assessments, adjusting settings as needed
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Monitor and document patients' respiratory status, reporting changes promptly
• Support families by educating them on respiratory therapies and equipment

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of current acute care RRT hospital experience
• Active RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• NICU/PEDS experience strongly preferred
• Level 1 Trauma experience a plus
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of mechanical ventilation, including advanced modes and settings
• Proficiency in administering breathing treatments and conducting ventilator assessments
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
• Knowledge of NICU/PEDS respiratory care best practices
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
