Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to adult patients on a combined med/surg and telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry readings, intervening promptly when changes occur
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active RN license (license verification required)
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• TNCC certification
• NIHSS certification
• Ability to pass a background check and health screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical skills in med/surg and telemetry nursing
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry strips
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Critical thinking and quick decision-making in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate patient education and advocacy
• EHR documentation proficiency
