MRI Technologist
Location: Muskegon, MI

End Date: 11-22-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, up to every other weekend rotation
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI exams on Philips Evolution 3T and Siemens Sola 1.5T scanners
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures, explaining the process and addressing concerns
- Position patients correctly to capture clear diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation
- Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment, reporting any issues to keep the department running smoothly
- Follow strict infection control and MRI safety protocols, including screening for contraindications
- Document patient information and image data accurately in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient schedules and prioritize urgent exams
Qualifications
- Active BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- ARMRIT certification required
- MRI Technologist experience preferred, with proficiency in Philips and Siemens systems
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
- Willingness to complete facility-specific competency testing and skills checklist
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Philips Evolution 3T and Siemens Sola 1.5T MRI scanners
- Strong understanding of MRI safety, including screening for implants and metal
- Excellent patient positioning skills and knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
- Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare teams
- Computer proficiency with imaging software and electronic health records
- A keen eye for detail to ensure diagnostic-quality images every time
