Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to medical/surgical and telemetry patients.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, promptly identifying and responding to changes in patient status.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or a compact state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required for this facility.
• Previous med/surg or telemetry experience is preferred, but we welcome passionate nurses ready to grow.
• Ability to work 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM shifts, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills.
• Excellent critical thinking, clinical judgment, and prioritization abilities.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and safe medication administration.
• Compassionate communication and patient education skills that build trust.
