Shift Type: Variable nights/evenings: 8:30 PM - 7:00 AM or 3:00 PM - 12:30 AM, 7 days on/7 days off rotation; Monday-Friday with rotating weekends, call required every 3rd weekend

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, and tissue samples to aid in diagnosis and treatment
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration and quality control
• Analyze test results and report findings accurately to physicians and healthcare staff
• Follow strict safety protocols and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
• Participate in quality assurance and proficiency testing to ensure reliable outcomes
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide excellent patient care

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or related field
• ASCP (MLT) certification required
• Current BLS certification
• Experience in a clinical laboratory setting is a plus

Education

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, safety, and infection control
• Proficient in specimen collection, processing, and analysis
• Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members
• Capability to adapt to variable shifts, including nights and weekends
