Shift Type: Wednesday-Saturday, 8:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Nights, 10-hour shifts)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $72 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform computed tomography (CT) scans and produce high-quality diagnostic images using Toshiba (Canon) Aquilion 64/16 and Siemens scanners.
  • Position patients and explain each step of the procedure to ensure their comfort, safety, and cooperation.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to verify clinical history and optimize scan protocols for accurate results.
  • Document patient data and scan details in Cerner while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Follow radiation safety standards, infection prevention protocols, and hospital policies every shift.
  • Assist with scheduling, room turnover, and inventory to keep the department running smoothly.

Qualifications

  • Active BLS (AHA) certification is required.
  • ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) and Radiologic Technology (R).
  • Valid California CRT license.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
  • Comfortable working 10-hour night shifts in an acute care setting.
  • Cardiac experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right candidate.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficiency with CT scanners, including Toshiba (Canon) Aquilion and Siemens equipment.
  • Solid understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging positioning.
  • Experience with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems.
  • Strong communication skills for guiding patients and coordinating with the care team.
  • Ability to stay composed and accurate in a fast-paced hospital environment.
