Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist with mobility and repositioning to keep residents safe and comfortable
• Support residents during meals and monitor dietary intake
• Take and document vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team
• Engage residents in social and recreational activities to brighten their day
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents and staff

Qualifications

• Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
• Genuine passion for caring for older adults
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift as required in a skilled nursing setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of resident rights and respectful care practices
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
• Skill in observing and reporting changes in resident condition
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary care team
• Strong interpersonal skills to comfort and reassure residents and families
