Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to elderly residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and repositioning to ensure resident safety and comfort
• Monitor vital signs and observe changes in condition, reporting findings to nursing staff
• Support residents with meals, hydration, and nutrition as part of their care plan
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for residents
• Document care provided and communicate effectively with the care team to ensure continuity

Qualifications

• Active GNA certification in the state of Maryland
• Current CPR/BLS certification (required)
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care
• Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents
• Valid government-issued photo ID
• COVID-19 vaccination or documented exemption as per facility policy

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of geriatric care best practices
• Skills in patient assistance and activities of daily living
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents and care team
• Understanding of safety and infection control protocols
• Time management and organizational skills
• Teamwork and collaboration in a fast-paced environment
