Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, patient-centered nursing care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, promptly identifying any changes and responding appropriately
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments following physician orders and nursing best practices
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatments, and recovery plans
• Document patient care accurately and maintain detailed medical records
• Respond quickly to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required (or ability to obtain quickly)
• ICU or critical care nursing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of critical care nursing principles and evidence-based practices
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, ventilator management, and hemodynamic assessment
• Skilled in initiating and maintaining IV therapy and administering complex medications
• Expertise in using electronic health records (EHR) for accurate charting
• Ability to stay calm and focused during emergencies
• Compassionate approach to patient and family education
