Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality general ultrasound examinations to assist in accurate diagnoses
• Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout
• Review patient histories and physician orders to determine appropriate scanning protocols
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, troubleshooting as needed
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care
• Document and record images, observations, and technical data accurately
• Follow strict infection control and safety standards to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
• Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program
• Registered or registry-eligible in diagnostic ultrasound (ARDMS preferred)
• Proficiency in general ultrasound imaging
• Ability to pass a background check and health screening
• Authorization to work in the United States

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of ultrasound physics, instrumentation, and image optimization
• Knowledge of anatomy and pathology as it relates to general ultrasound
• Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently on night shift
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and imaging software
• Ability to stand for long periods and assist patients with mobility
